Amanda,

It makes me happy to know that my post makes you feel better about job searching! I was in your position not too long ago and felt like giving up. Now, I'm so happy to be working and glad I never gave up on the industry. Best of luck!

Best,
Sarah

Sarah,

I love this post! I'm about to graduate myself and getting quite discouraged reading about the dwindling economy and lack of jobs nearly every day. I especially agree with your advice to stay positive and to take your time. Your prospective employer wants to see you passionate, driven, and excited about working for them! No one wants to hire someone who is applying for a job just because they are desperate for one! They want to hire someone who truly wants to work for them! I know in my own job hunt, I have easily been discouraged when I find out a company isn't hiring. But I have found that if you are persistent and continue to show interest, eventually, someone will respond!

Thanks for the tips and thanks for getting the positive juices flowing again!

Great advice. I'm a soon to be PR graduate, currently seeking a job/internship and this encourages me to keep my head up and stay enthusiastic about the field I'm in.
